Bad day already
I cut my hand somehow, I don't even remember how it happened. I looked down when I got to work, and there was my finger, all bloody. Great. Wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't wearing white pants.
To add insult to injury, the project management course I had been promised I would go on started YESTERDAY. They "forgot" about me. If I had any actual talents, I would threaten walking out the door. But having no transferrable skills, I am stuck here in this rabbit warren answering questions about comma splices.
Wednesdays fucking suck.

There will be other courses. The timing of this one wouldn't have been good anyway - you've got a lot on your plate as a new manager and in preparing for your oddyssey.

That's how you cut your finger silly... you spliced it on a comma.
I can totally relate. Last week was the most hellish week I've had in a long time. My new boss sent me my very first terse email, I'm way over my head in my new job, I'm way behind in my deliverables, I felt like crap with my head cold, and I can't bend over to shave my legs or tie my shoes anymore.
Take it one day at a time, get lots of exercise to relieve the stress, and remember - work is just work and it's just one part of your life. You've got lots of cool stuff going on in the other parts to look forward to! don't let the dumb and moronic people or things get you down!
