Those singing dolls at Disneyworld were right...

It really is a small, small world. I know the whole idea of six degrees of separation is pretty much a cliché, but in the case of the Ottawa Valley, it's a cliché for a reason. It really seems to ring true here.

Exhibit 1: On Saturday, I went to the wedding of a friend from high school. Also in attendance were two people from my ultimate team, The Scooby Snacks. Michelle went to grad school with the bride. The bride went through undergrad with a girl from my highschool, and she introduced the bride and groom to one another.

Exhibit 2: A girl who Capt. Mike went to highschool with, Katie, moved to Pembroke a couple of years ago. Her fiancé is also going to Kandahar next August, so Capt. Mike's mom thought to put the two of us in touch with one another. Last night I met up with her and two of her friends, Jen and Nicole, at East Side Mario's. After chatting for a little while, Jen and I realised that we went to the same teeny tiny highschool (RDHS) together. She would have been in grade 9 or 10 when I graduated.

Spooky.
