Soldiering on for charity

Posted by saedigh at 08:42 AM on September 02, 2009

On September 20th, Capt Mike and I will be participating in the 2nd Annual Army Run in support of the Military Families Fund and Soldier On. Capt Mike will be running the half marathon. I have set my bar a lot lower, and will be running the 5 K. (I will, however, be attempting to finish it in under 30 minutes, which would be a personal best, but Ragweed is conspiring against me and putting a bit of a kibosh on my outdoor training.)

If you're reading this blog, it's likely because you know me, you know Capt Mike, or you googled "Army Wife" for what I hope is a relatively wholesome reason. As such, I encourage you to check out these two worthy charities and to consider offering them your support, whether it's cheering the runners on from the sidelines on race day, making a financial contribution, or both.
